Senior healthcare executive with a multidisciplinary background in clinical midwifery, research, and strategic leadership. I bring over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing quality and operational frameworks across public and private healthcare systems in Greece and the United Kingdom.
As Chief Quality Officer, I have led the development of integrated Quality Management Systems (QMS) in maternity and hospital settings, ensuring compliance with international standards and promoting patient safety, clinical efficiency, and service excellence. I have also served as an external inspector for the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in Spain and Cyprus.
As Chief Operating Officer, I have overseen the strategic planning and launch of new healthcare services and units—from concept to full-scale operation—while managing cross-functional teams and aligning operations across financial, clinical, technical, and administrative departments. My approach is data-driven, with a strong emphasis on KPI and QPI monitoring to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
My academic and research background includes serving as Senior Research Midwife at King’s College London, where I coordinated multicenter clinical studies (PACT, OPPTIMUM, IG-POP) and contributed to peer-reviewed publications and protocol development.
Clinically, I have supported over 15,000 pregnancies and conducted more than 3,800 births, working in word leading institutions such as Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
I hold an MSc in Midwifery (London) and an International Master in European Studies (Brussels), and I am a certified ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor. I am also co-founder of the Hellenic British Midwifery Association (HBMA) and a member of the National Health Council (KESY) committee for the establishment of Birth Centers in Greece.
My mission is to advance innovative, safe, and person-centered healthcare services, while contributing to policy development and empowering professionals across the sector.
